ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior AI Automation Specialist plays a critical role in designing, building, and delivering automation solutions that leverage AI tools, no-code/low-code platforms, and backend integrations. This position focuses on improving operational efficiency, reducing manual effort, and unlocking new capabilities across Vortala and Pronto.

We are seeking a candidate with proven experience — someone who can confidently combine technical expertise, AI tool knowledge, and creative problem-solving to accelerate our automation initiatives and deliver measurable business impact.

As part of the AI Automation Team, the Senior AI Automation Specialist will:

Design & Deliver Automations

  • Build, maintain, and optimize automation workflows using no-code/low-code platforms, integrated with backend systems, APIs, and third-party services.
  • Write or adapt scripts when needed to handle custom automation needs, complex logic, or data transformation tasks.
  • Ensure automations meet high standards for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

AI Integration & Prompt Engineering

  • Develop, test, and refine prompts to achieve reliable, high-quality AI model outputs.
  • Seamlessly integrate AI tools into automation workflows to extend capabilities and value.
  • Share best practices and learnings across the team to elevate overall AI automation expertise.

Collaboration & Problem-Solving

  • Partner with stakeholders across departments to understand business needs, pain points, and automation opportunities.
  • Translate requirements into actionable, high-impact technical solutions.
  • Work closely with the AI Automation Engineering Team Leader to align on priorities, resources, and deliverables.

Continuous Learning & Innovation

  • Stay current on advancements in AI tools, automation platforms, programming techniques, and integration strategies.
  • Proactively bring forward new ideas, tools, or approaches to improve team capabilities and results.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert and advisor, contributing to the company’s growing automation practice.

HOW TO SECURE AN INTERVIEW

To be invited for an interview, you should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience with automation platforms, especially n8n, and integrating backend systems, APIs, and third-party services.
  • Solid working knowledge of AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Perplexity) and their integration into automated workflows.
  • Advanced prompt engineering capabilities or demonstrable experience optimizing AI model outputs.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, data formats (e.g., JSON), and the ability to write or adapt scripts (e.g., JavaScript, Python) for custom automation needs.
  • Proven ability to break down complex business problems into scalable, maintainable automation solutions.
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills, working effectively across both technical and non-technical teams.
  • A proactive learning mindset, staying up to date with emerging AI and automation tools and best practices.

Although there is flexibility on the work schedule, you would need to work 75% of your day during normal U.S. business hours Monday through Friday from 8am – 5pm EDT.
