We are looking for a seasoned HR generalist to oversee multiple HR functions for our growing company.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll administer all aspects of Vortala’s human resource practices and policies.

Through collaboration with Business Unit Directors, you will promote corporate values and foster a positive, talent-focused culture that enables business success.

Specific duties include:

  • Manage all aspects of internal and external staff recruitment efforts
  • Provide timely and responsive service to staff seeking assistance on HR related matters
  • Act as an internal consultant for the leadership and executive teams on all HR related issues
  • Ensure compliance with international, federal, state and local employment laws and monitor any changes in labor laws and regulations
  • Create, update and administer HR related company policies and assist all staff and leadership team members in the interpretation and application of those policies
  • Maintain all personnel files and HR systems and ensure they are up to date and complete
  • Manage all employee benefit policies and benefit provider relationships
  • Oversee annual salary review and performance appraisal process
  • Update and facilitate leadership development training curriculum

To secure an interview, you should have the following skills, knowledge and attributes.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an HR generalist role
  • Working knowledge of employment law including EEO, Affirmative Action, ADA, FMLA and Workers’ Compensation
  • Ability to work independently and proactively collaborate with colleagues
  • Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
  • Tech savvy with fluency in common business and HR software
  • Schedule flexibility to occasionally meet via phone with international colleagues outside U.S. business hours
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is preferred
  • Experience with leadership development curriculum creation and facilitation is highly desirable, but not essential

This is a part-time, 20 hour per week position with the possibility of increased hours during periods of heavy recruiting.
